Flowers + Crowns + Desert Vibes

Don't you just love flower crowns? They bring this natural whimsy and delight to anyone that wears one (and they look stellar in a photo). I especially love them for the bohemian bride, minimalist bride, garden bride or the country chic bride. For this week's #sundayflower post I set out to reuse some of the flowers from last week and create a modern flower crown perfect for a desert vibe.

two jester leucadendrons, two ranunculus (light peach and hot pink varieties), two stems of english daisy or bellis, asparagus fern (I think it is - I picked it up at the grocery store) 26 and 24 gauge wire, stem tape, snipes, wire cutters, floral shears and my iPhone.

I love how the little green center of the pink ranunculus pulls out the tinge of pink on the jester leucadendrons!

I would love to see this on a bride wearing a Daughters of Simon dress out in Joshua Tree - just saying.

When I set out to make this crown I gave myself about an hour to prep and pull it together. Through this process I learned two important lessons. One, I need to buy floral and waterproof tape (stem tape doesn't like to wrap around wire very well). Two, trying to take a picture of it on me was hilarious. I was thrilled with the result and I can't wait to see it on my daughter (pictures to come). Thank you so much for reading and I hope you all enjoy a beautiful day!
